Machine History

I picked up the Battlezone machine from a guy about 10 miles north of me. The machine was advertised in the local paper for $75 cash and carry. I drove to the guy’s house and the machine was in good shape. The joystick had been trashed which is common on most of these machines. I bought new joystick handles, new switches, and new rubber centering grommets.

This beast does have a downside, it’s a bitch keeping her running. I’ve been through a board set, power supply, and a couple of odd components. I have two spare board sets so hopefully I should be set for a while.

My Thoughts on the Machine

I have loved this machine since the first time I saw it. Wire frame 3D, blowing up tanks, forget about it. The sound is also remarkably good for it's time. I think it's a keeper.
