I picked this machine up a few years ago from Brad C. in
Grand Rapids. It was in exceptionally nice shape. The flippers
needed to be rebuilt and the transporter ramp was broken,
Brad provided one with the machine. I re-built the flippers
and installed the ramp and it played great. Just recently
I did a complete shop job on the machine and it looks exceptional.
There is only minor wear to the two subway holes. The original
display died and I replaced it with a PinLed
display.
One interesting thing about this machine is it has a headphone
jack installed on the front of the machine. It was probably
installed by the original owner.
This game is a run and gun shooter. There aren't a whole lot
of modes. The main goal is to power the transporter, energize
it, then play transporter multiball. With rules so simple anyone
can quickly figure out how to play. The machine is a favorite
with guests who have little or no pinball knowledge and just
want to bang the flippers. The Star Trek theme also helps.
